Sailing Across the Seas to Offer Praise! Commendation Letter from the Maldives SIFCO HIYAA Housing Project Department

The SIFCO HIYAA Housing Project is another landmark project in the Maldives. It’s  a collaboration between China and a company under the Maldivian Ministry of Defense. As the elevator project contractor for the SIFCO HIYAA Housing Project, IFE Elevator completed the project with high quality and efficiency. The main contractor, Minmetals 23rd Metallurgical, sent a commendation letter, acknowledging IFE Elevator's engineering excellence and its pursuit of perfection in craftsmanship.

The SIFCO HIYAA Housing Project is the first external steel structure elevator project in the Maldives, with a lift height reaching 15 floors. The island's geological conditions, characterized by strong structural integrity and high brittleness, significantly increased the construction complexity. Additionally, the high-temperature, high-humidity, high-salinity environment, and intense UV radiation posed high demands on the durability and longevity of the external structures and building materials.

Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic and harsh natural conditions, the IFE construction team efficiently completed the installation of the external steel structure, aluminum panels, and elevators. With exceptional technical expertise and experience, they ensured the timely delivery of the project.

The complex construction conditions came with increased risks and unexpected challenges.
